These are the criteria I made for myself in investment club. My current fake portfolio is not necessarily following them, and some of them are challenging to implement.. do #1 and #4 mean I can't invest in Netflix? These involve research beyond the research on how they'll perform! But it's good to think about.
1) Anti-violence
2) Pro-healthy food/exercise
3) Anti-gambling
4) Anti-sexual exploitation (media, movies, strip-clubs)
5) Does the company give back to the community?
6) Does the company benefit at the expense of the poor?
7) Is there a good percentage of minorities and women in leadership?
8) How does this company better our society?
9) How does the company approach “going green”?
10) Does the company exploit undocumented workers?
